And to save you a mouse click, here's the job description ...
Autodesk is rapidly expanding its range of cloud services. These extend and enhance our desktop product line to allow our customers to collaborate and create designs in ways that have never before been possible. At the core of these cloud services are server-side and client-side APIs that allow our third party developer community and our customers to use Autodesk technology as the platform for their own software solutions. If you’re excited by design, and by working with 3D on the web then keep reading.
Do Something Great!
During your internship in our San Francisco office, you will be working as part of the Autodesk Developer Evangelist team to build one or more inspiring extended sample applications to showcase our cloud service APIs (http://developer.autodesk.com). The project you work on will depend on your current skills and preferences, but could include one or more of the following:
o Web based Design Data Visualization.
o Internet of Things (IoT) integrations
o Add-in and server-side applications to extend Fusion 360 – our ‘born in the cloud’ professional mechanical design solution
o Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality
o Building Information Management (including architectural design and construction management)
o Reality Capture (3D photogrammetry and laser scanning) and Rendering.
In addition to developing extensive and compelling sample applications, you will engage in other Developer Evangelism activities, including:
o Blogging about your work.
o Attending and presenting at meetups, conferences, training workshops and hackathons.
o Assisting software development partners with their use of Autodesk APIs.
o Providing feedback to our engineering teams to help them improve our APIs and documentation.
In short, your task will be to have as much fun as possible doing cool things with our APIs – and then telling other people about the cool stuff you’ve done.
What you’ll need to succeed:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in Computer science of a discipline with a strong computing component.
• A strong interest in 3D on the web, including WebGL programming and using 3D libraries based on WebGL (such as THREE.js).
• A fast independent learner – you are able to manage your own learning activities, and to quickly understand new APIs and programming concepts.
• Good communication skills – we want you to blog about your work; there will also be opportunities to present your work at meetups, conferences etc.
If this sounds like you – apply today!
